Maxence Neveu
Maxence Neveu was born in Yverdon in 2000. They are currently studying for a bachelor's degree in visual arts at the EDHEA (Ecole de design et haute école d'art du Valais) and working on the programming of the art space bigbangthe bigbang art space in Sierre. Their artistic practice revolves around everyday gestures of care, the absurdity of the patriarchal world and the universal in the intimate. They won the (re)connecting.earth Biennial prize for young artists.
The instructional work created by Maxence Neveu takes the form of a real instruction manual for creating a sculpture, made up of 3 objects/waste that are in danger of ending up in the waters of Lake Geneva. The artist invites us to recover the elements that are to make up this artefact before they end up in the lake, making us aware both of the pollution of this space and of the creative potential it holds.
